Scale to fit canvas option
 How can I scale an imported image to fit to the canvas?
I have installed am using Synfig 1.2.2  on Ubuntu 18.04 OS

Answers:

Go to Edit menu. Click on Preferences. Select Editing option. Under Imported Image, set the button to ON of Scale to fit canvas.
